Why don't African Americans go camping?
I recently saw a statistic that said only 1% of African Americans go camping or even visit a national park each year, and immediately I was very curious as to why this is. From my experience through camping, fishing, and hunting I have learned important life lessons from a young age that I don't think could have been taught anywhere else. I guess what I'm really getting at here is, how do African Americans learn key fundamental things such as respecting nature and animals, providing your own food, overcoming weather, or finding peace and beauty in nature if you are not exposed to the nature?
