After BFP, when should you schedule your first doctor's visit, normally?

I haven't gotten a positive test, though. Just curious on a what-if basis. I think I would have to call my doc right away if I did, though, because she told me my blood-clotting disorder would make me high-risk. But does everyone start seeing a doctor right away after a positive pregnancy test, or only if you have risk factors?
