Girls in highschool ?

ok im 14 dont have a girl friend but idk what to do there are girls all around me in high school and i find myself felling kinda empty when i see the couples in school im in 9th grade and i have alot of friends that are girls but none of them seem to connect with me like i would like i want to have that connection werte i can talk about any thing around her and just be able to chill with her and can be myself i know what your thinking oh thats a fairytale thing but idk i just feel empty what should i do i need some advice
