When it come to hunting for sport, is "thou shalt not kill" not applicable ?

I want to start hunting. I saw a man kill an ostrich with a bow on outdoor channel. it was cool. i felt bad for the bird. but i'd like to kill a three toed sloth with a 10 gauge. that would be cool. i'd mount his head too and hang his 12 toes around his neck. that would be a great triumph right ?
